Self Employed fashion design course
Week 1 ,2 , 3 & 4
- Introduction to pattern making
- Tools and equipment’s
- How to take body measurements
- Understanding grain lines
- Understanding Balance lines
Kurta ,tunic,tops
- Basic block kurta without darts(rectangular silhouette)
- Fitted kurta block with armhole and waist darts
- Princess line kurta with and without pads
- Deep neck circular kurta ( neck contouring )
- Collar kurta ( stand and fall)
Self Employed fashion design course
Week 3 ,4 , 5 & 7
Blouses
- Princess line blouse / basic blouse block
- Neck contouring with any design
- Collar / high neck blouse
- Padded blouse with any variation ( can be students design selection)
- Corset blouse
- 4 dart blouse
- Conversion of 4 dart to 1,2,3 darts
Bifurcated / bottoms
- Basic block for bifurcated garment
- Design developments like plazzo,cigarette pant,sharara,high waist pant to be worn over crop top
- Basic block for salwar
- Design developments for afghani salwar,tulip,Patiala etc
- Basic block for pyjami and its variations
- Paper bag method for creating different type of bottoms
Attractions:
- Blazer kurta
- Reversible ajrakh jacket
- Lapel blouse
- Capes
- Any 1 pattern development of students design
Week 8,9,10 & 11
Garment construction technology/ stiching
- Introduction to basic hand and machine stiches
- Construction of basic princess line blouse
- Construction of any 1 blouse mentioned in above( with pads)
- Construction of basic kurta with and without darts( shape facings, bookrum etc to be used)
- Construction of any one variation of kurta mentioned above ( creating necklines etc)
- Construction of basic pant consideration of all kind of seams ,pockets, belt (contoured and plain),zip attachment etc
- Construction of any 1 design mentioned above
Week 12
